Florence Knoll, a colleague of great postwar American designers Harry Bertoia and Eero Saarinen and a designer in her own right, founded her namesake company as a home for the best in 20th century design with classic pieces by these designers as well as celebrated artists like Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer. Today Knoll continues this modern tradition while adding new work from contemporary designers.
