Shipping Policy

Kit offers Free Shipping in Canada on all orders over $99 (Knoll excluded) before sales tax. Orders under $99 will be charged a $20 handling fee. Taxes will be charged based on your provincial tax code. All in stock items will be shipped within 3 business days from the time of purchase. Our free shipping policy excludes select furniture, rural locations and PO boxes. Please contact us regarding furniture orders to ensure that we deliver to your area. Please contact us regarding deliveries outside Canada.

Lead Times

If an ordinarily in-stock item is out of stock, or if an item is backordered by our supplier, you may cancel your order with a full refund. Not all items are in stock so please contact us regarding lead times. For special orders (made-to-order furniture and/or furniture not ordinarily in-stock), we will inform you of the lead time by email. Special order lead times can range anywhere from 2-16 weeks. Lead times are estimates only and are subject to change. 

Shipping Method

Packages will ship via a third-party service best suited to your order. Delivery on larger items is curbside only. Kit is not liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense related to any delay in shipment or delivery. Fees incurred from rejected packages will be the responsibility of the customer. 


Please inspect your item immediately upon receiving it. Damage claims must be made within 3 days of receipt of delivery. Please keep all packing materials and email photos of damage. 


Purchases can be returned within 14 days of receipt of goods if accompanied by original receipt and in original condition with the original packaging. Returns must be pre-authorized by calling or emailing the store. Sale items and special order/furniture items cannot be returned or refunded. Return shipping is at customer’s expense. There are no refunds on shipping costs and Kit is not responsible for loss or damage during return shipping. We will provide a return authorization form for all returns.


Warranty coverage varies from product to product. Kit will endeavour to repair or replace any item damaged either through shipping or through manufacturing defect. Normal or expected wear and tear do not constitute a manufacturing defect. Consult manufacturer’s care guidelines to ensure a long useful life for your purchase. Kit will not be responsible for remuneration or penalty beyond the replacement cost of your purchase.
