Eames® Wire Chair, Herman Miller x HAY

Charles and Ray Eames / Mette and Rolf Hay for Herman Miller® - 1951 / 2022

The Eames Wire Chair is a unique iteration in the continuous evolution of the Eames Shell Chair. In the 1950s, the Eames Office started experimenting in bent and welded wire and developed a number of pieces, including the wire version of the single-shell form. Herman Miller is built on a legacy of creative collaboration. In a first-of-its-kind collection, the Danish design brand HAY thoughtfully reimagines eight Eames classics—including the Molded Plastic Shell Chair, Wire Base Low Table, and Hang-It-All—for a new generation of modern design enthusiasts. The collection presents a unique vision of colour, the evolution of conscious materials, and a beautifully interconnected story of design partnership. The Eames Molded Plastic Side Chair is offered in four new colourways designed by HAY, with matching powder-coated steel bases.
