One of the most recognized design objects of the last century and an icon of modernism, the Barcelona Chair is a true marriage of design and craftsmanship. It is still produced to the designer’s exact specifications, including 40 individual leather panels cut, hand-welted, and hand-tufted with leather and buttons from a single cowhide. The hand buffed frame is stamped with the KnollStudio logo and the signature of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.

Materials:

Hand-buffed stainless steel or polished chrome frame. Cowhide belting straps are dyed to match specified leather colour. Chair has 40 individual leather panels which are cut, hand-welted, and hand-tufted with leather and buttons from a single cowhide. Cushions are resilient urethane foam with down-like dacron polyester fiberfill.
