Design legend Alvar Aalto’s asymmetrical waves (“aalto” in Finnish) have become a timeless symbol of Scandinavian interior design since winning the 1937 Paris World Fair. Inspired by the thousands of lakes in his native Finland, the iconic Aalto Vase combines form and function. The collection is a staple of modern Scandinavian design and Iittala’s most iconic series. Each Aalto vase goes through a multi-step production process at the Iittala Glass Factory. First, the vase is mouthblown, then hand cut before going through several polishings. The clear decorative glass vase is a versatile, striking addition to any home interior.
