Maija Louekari for Marimekko - 2021

Maija Louekari’s abstract Hyräily (humming) was hand-painted with a thick brush. This stripe-like pattern painted with a relaxed hand follows the rhythm of humming. According to the designer, the hand-painting accentuates the carefree beauty of everyday life – we don’t always have to have only straight lines and right angles. This large Oiva bowl features the Hyräily pattern and pairs well with the smaller bowls and plates.
