Kukasta Kukkaan Kitchen Towel

Erja Hirvi for Marimekko

Erja Hirvi brought the joyfully blossoming Kukasta Kukkaan print to life during a burst of creativity at her summer retreat, fully immersed in floral inspiration. The loosely conceived pattern emerged as she painted, capturing the myriad ways flowers appear in nature. The Finnish name of the design translates to “from flower to flower” – a nod to the playful flight of bumblebees among summer blooms. The Kukasta Kukkaan pattern tea towel is printed in Helsinki, and it has a hanging loop on the long edge.
