Vitra was established in the 1950s as the licensed manufacturer of Herman Miller designs for Europe, but quickly evolved into a major furniture innovator in its own right. Today, Vitra continues to produce classic 20th Century designs, such as George Nelson's distinctive wall clocks and Jean Prouvé's Standard Chairs, as well as celebrated contemporary pieces by Ronan & Erwan Bourroullec, Hella Jongerius and many more.
